No, we do not hire gowns.
From our many years of hiring and selling gowns we have come to the conclusion that hiring is not a good option, for us or our customers.
Here's why.......
If we did hire we could not guarantee that the dress will be in the same condition as when you first tried it on in store. It could be hired out several times before your event and in many cases the dress becomes 'worn' looking and customers get very disappointed.
At last 80% of customers need to have some alterations completed to ensure a gown looks it's very best. If we hired, our customers would not be able to look their best.
Most common alterations are:
Hem- get the right length so you can walk well and have fun, including having the option to wear a smaller heel and save those feet from getting crimpled before you hit the dance floor.
straps- the majority of people will require a shoulder strap to be reduced. Nothing more annoying that being at an event and the strap keeps slipping off your shoulder. When it is fitting a body right, it offers a lot of support for the bust area also.
side of bust cup- when the side of the dress near the bust cup is altered, it creates so much support to that area of the body and keeps the bust in place and shapely. When this is altered as well as straps, it creates security and no need for a bra in most cases.
We have local alterations people that we can refer you to for any small nip and tuck you may need.
From our years of experience about 80% of girls will need their dress altered in some way. It might be a lift of the hem and shoulder strap. or even some work about the bust area. These are the most common alterations required.
These small tweaks can make all the difference on the look and comfort of the gown on your body.
